Rolled sizes come from EN 10365 and EN 10056-1; tubes, hollow sections, plates and bars are worked out from the dimensions you enter. Plates: thickness and width here, length in the length field.
Sections count their whole outside perimeter. Inside surfaces of tubes matter for hot-dip galvanising and for open, vented members; a sealed hollow section is coated outside only.
Volume solids from the product data sheet. The loss factor covers overspray, surface profile and dead volume: often 20 to 40 % for airless spray on sections, more on small or open steelwork.
